Welcome Baby

Photography has always been a creative outlet for me, and will continue to remain so. However, as I try my hand at shooting various subject matter, I can see my path narrowing. The things I truly enjoy photographing are becoming abundantly obvious. And May has been a month of true realization. Two weeks ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to shoot my first live birth. Let me tell you that there are no words that can adequately express how amazing that experience was. Emotions run high; people are tense. But each moment is real. There’s no fluff. No glitz or glamour. Just the beauty of a parent holding their child for the first time. And there is nothing else on earth like it.

My most sincere gratitude for this family allowing me to be witness to such a miracle. Thank you.

I recently had the honor of photographing one of my dearest friends. She’s an artist. She’s a business woman. She’s a role model. And this year, Carli Baylor will be receiving her Master’s Degree in Journalism. I couldn’t be more proud and excited for her.

The Romance of Writing

Over the weekend I watched Woody Allen’s movie, Midnight in Paris, and was quickly seduced by the romance of writing. I’ve always been intrigued by people who have the power to wield words, and shape an entire world one paragraph at a time. Great writing is truly an art form. I took these photographs last year of … Continue reading
